Panaw-Duaw ni Santiago
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, with the strict guidelines for social distancing, churchgoers were limited in attending Mass inside the church. As the annual fiesta celebration drew near in July, a month-long "Panaw-Duaw" took place, during which the image of St. James the Great visited each chape. This occurs before July 25.
From the Parish, the image is transported by vehicle, followed by devotees in a motorcade procession to the assigned chapel each day, with a total of 36 chapels. A solemn enthronement is held when the image arrives at the chapel's altar. This is followed by a Holy Mass presided over by the priest. The image remains at the chapel for the night while devotees pay tribute to the patron. The next day, a prayer is changed before the image is transported to another chapel.
The cycle continues until July 24, when the image is returned to the Parish. This is celebrated with a Holy Mass, and all devotees from each chapel come together.
